Design Inspirations

While on vacation last year I drew this purse design. I was bored waiting on a bench while I watched my husband in the water struggle to remove all the weeds from the boat prop. It was the first time we rented at this lake in northern Michigan and probably the last. I was thinking how lucky it was that I had something to do while fistfuls of weeds were launched sideways. I wish I could say weeds were the inspiration, but basically, I was just kicking time. When I got home I found a very beautiful Indian formal dress at the salvation army store complete with embroidered trim and bead work in a rich pumpkin hue. I plan to recycle the garment to create this purse. I'll post a picture when it's done. Sometimes weeds can be a good thing. 'Later.
